• On November 14, the Oriskany Central School District held a professional development training session for all non-instructional employees.

Throughout the three-hour training, staff reviewed topics including stress management, wellness strategies, workplace environment and professionalism, de-escalation techniques, positive behavior intervention techniques, peer conflict and bullying, and review of the code of conduct.

The district provides training sessions for all non-instructional staff at least once or twice per school year to review topics that assist with continued growth and learning in their various positions. These trainings also foster a culture of professionalism and support amongst all district employees that is essential for the success of our students.

The training was provided through the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES Safety service.
