A major portion of the work to prepare for the new track and refurbished field includes measures to improve drainage in that area. In the last couple of weeks, drainage installation has included approximately 800 feet of 10-inch drainage piping, 600 feet of 6-inch drainage trench, 800 feet of flat drain and 40 4-inch storm inlets.

Additionally, approximately 1,200 yards of fill for the infield was excavated and compacted, the track area and "D" zones were boxed out and graded, approximately 6,500 tons of crusher run stone was hauled in and approximately 80,000 square feet of subbase course was placed and compacted.
