Academic Intervention Services

Our district utilizes multiple measures for determining if a student needs Academic Intervention Services or Response to Intervention Services. Both STAR ReadingTM, STAR Early LiteracyTM and STAR MathTM are utilized to screen and monitor all PK-12 students three times per year. This data point is one of the multiple measures of data used to make instructional decisions for our students. Additional data points are the New York State Assessments (3-8 and Regents), classroom performance, report card grades, and/or marking period averages.
