Food Service Helpers

The Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES Food Service Program is looking for part-time and substitute help in the Oriskany Jr./Sr. High and Elementary School kitchens.

School Bus Drivers

For additional information, call the District Office at (315) 768-2058. Applicants can also apply on the online application system for K-12 education (OLAS). 

Oriskany Central School District continuously invites applications for substitutes for all areas including school bus drivers, custodians, teachers, nurses, aides, monitors and teacher assistants. Position-specific information is available below where applicable.

Substitute Custodial Workers

Performs routine manual work involving building cleaning and general labor tasks. Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision, excellent attention to detail, good interpersonal skills and have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Does related work as required. Must have the ability to work in all District buildings. 

Substitute School Bus Driver

Free, comprehensive training is provided to obtain CDL and qualify for employment . Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and possess a clean, valid driver’s license. CDL preferred, but not required. Applicants must be available to work 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in order to be considered.  

Substitute School Nurses

Must enjoy working with children of all ages and be available to work in any of the District’s two school buildings on an as needed basis. Candidates must meet all qualifications with Oneida County, which includes holding a valid Registered Nurse license and holding or obtaining CPR/AED certification.

Substitute Teachers

The Oriskany Central School District is looking for per diem substitute teachers for all grade levels and subjects in the Elementary and Jr/Sr High School. Certification is not required, but must have completed at least two years of college.
