Class of 2019 Valedictorian and Salutatorian Announced

Valedictorian 2019 Dylan LaSalle, son of Brett and Allison LaSalle, has been named the Oriskany Central School Class of 2019 Valedictorian. Dylan has received many accolades during his time at Oriskany, including the Clarkson University High School Leadership Award, the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award, Section III Honor Mention for Varsity Hockey and multiple academic achievement awards. Dylan has taken an extremely rigorous course load throughout high school, including AP calculus, AP environmental science, AP U.S. history, AP world history, Project Lead the Way Engineering courses and many MVCC dual enrollment courses. Dylan is very involved in extracurricular activities and is the president of Key Club and a member of technology club, varsity baseball and varsity hockey. Outside of school, Dylan enjoys playing hockey, watching movies and spending time with his friends. Next year, Dylan plans to attend Clarkson University or the University at Buffalo to study aerospace engineering with the hopes of one day becoming prominent in the field, working on spacecrafts for NASA or a private company. Congratulations, Dylan! 

Salutatorian 2019 Carl J. Graziadei, son of Carl and Kathy Graziadei, has been named the Oriskany Central School Class of 2019 Salutatorian. Carl has been the recipient of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal, the Clarkson University High School Achievement Award and multiple outstanding academic achievement awards. Additionally, Carl has received honorable mention in the Center State Conference for baseball in tenth and eleventh grade, and was named a Center State Conference Scholar Athlete all four years of high school. This year, Carl has interned at UTC Aerospace Systems through the Regional Program of Excellence, while also taking a rigorous course load including AP calculus, Project Lead the Way Principles of Engineering and many MVCC dual enrollment courses. Carl is very involved in extracurricular activities and is the National Honor Society co-president, varsity club president, and a member of the technology club. Carl has balanced academics while also participating in a number of athletic teams, including baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer and football. Outside of school, Carl likes to spend time with friends and family, play baseball, and enjoy the outdoors. Next year, Carl will attend Clarkson University, where he will play baseball and study aeronautical engineering, with the hopes of one day being both an aerospace engineer and patent attorney.
