Kate Dellers of the Oriskany CSD recently participated in the second annual National Poster Contest to honor April as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The CLASS (Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools) held the contest and the theme was “Reflecting Harmony in our Community.”

Kate wanted to “capture different ethnicities as well as the Chinese characters and flags” with her poster.

With more than 100 students across the nation who participated in the contest, Kate’s work won an honorable mention award.
